This tour will offer you a off-the-beaten track experience in Porto and the north of Portugal.
Create your own wine, explore wild nature by walking in a sheperd trail, sleep at historical houses and dive in the refreshing clear waters of the small ponds at "Fisgas de Ermelo" Waterfall. Taste the green wines and eat at the best local restaurants.
Immerse and explore places yet to be discovered like the Natural Park of Alvão, Mondim de Basto, Amarante or Vila Real.

In the morning, take some time to explore a bit more the city of Porto. At 2:00 pm transfer to Monverde Wine Hotel. In the afternoon, we suggest that you explore the city of Amarante and discover Amadeo de Souza Cardoso Museum. Sleep at Monverde Wine Experience Hotel.
Become a Winemaker for a day, creating your own wine. Start in the Tunnel of Aromas, with some of the most common aromas in Vinhos Verdes, to develop olfactory sensitivity and memory and to prepare for the next phase: creating the wine. The experience only ends after bottling your wine and customizing your own label. Sleep at Monverde Wine Experience Hotel.
Guided walk along the Sheperd Trail (8km), with pick-up and drop-off, with an estimated time of 6h (medium/high difficulty). Halfway stop for lunch in a very traditional place. Come and discover the breeds in Serra do Alvão, their secrets, charms and history. Walk part of the route with the Shepherd and his herd of wild goats (a breed indigenous to the region).
Sleep at Casa Dalevada, Veade.
Guided walk along the Vinho Verde Trail (6km), with pick-up and drop-off, with an estimated time of 4h (difficulty: easy). The waters of the Tâmega separate the municipalities of Mondim and Celorico de Basto and the districts of Vila Real and Braga. This water line, with its sunny slope, is a unique place for the production of Vinho Verde. The trail follows the old railway line, following the green undulation of the vineyards that you can see along the walk. Halfway through the route, stop for a visit to one of the producing estates, with a tasting of the brand's wines.
For dinner, you will have a unique and traditional Cooking Workshop to prepare the typical codfish that the portuguese love so much. After the preparation, prepare for eating the incredible meal you have prepared.
Sleep at Casa Dalevada, Veade.
Guided walk along the Fisgas de Ermelo Trail (13 km), with pick-up and drop-off and with an estimated time of 6 hours (difficulty: medium/high). Visit Fisgas de Ermelo and discover one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Alvão Natural Park. Take a dip in the refreshing waters and learn about the indigenous breed (Cabra Bravia). Halfway stop for lunch in a very traditional place.
Sleep at Casa Agrícola da Levada, in Vila Real.
Free time to get to know the city of Vila Real. If you prefer, we can organize a walk in the Douro, that is only a short distance away.
