Once Upon a Time...

Casas do Moinho are just a few short meters from the windmill in Odeceixe. This charming village is composed by 8 independent houses and 7 double bedrooms (one of which us a suite). These cottages are perfectly framed in the typical architecture of the town and in a “go local” logic, where you can get a taste of local life.

The scenery is stunning and the proximity to the windmill complements this setting. With a magnificent over the Seixe river as it flows down to Odeceixe beach. Lapped by the sea on one side and the river on the other, it was considered the best cliff beach in Portugal in 2012, and is just 3 kilometres from Casas do Moinho. Take your bicycle and set out on an adventure! This small town of small whitewashed cottages, on the Alentejo and Algarve border, offers the best of both regions.

Whether in the Rota Vicentina, or on a part of the fishermen’s trail, Casas do Moinho is a perfect haven for hiking or cycling along these charming trails.

Sandra and Arnaldo were already in love with the area when the opportunity arose to buy the first cottages in Odeceixe. The project grew and today, in this quiet town, they and their children put all of their energy into this charming village.

GPS Coordinates: 37º25’50”N / 8º46’19”W

From the North, exit the IP8 trunk road towards Sines. Head for Vila Nova de Milfontes and continue on towards Lagos EN120 national road. Stop in Odeceixe before you get to Aljezur. From the South, take the EN120 national road in Lagos and head towards Sines. After passing Aljezur and before you get to the Alentejo, stop in Odeceixe.

Reservations: a credit card is required to secure the booking.

Cancellations: If cancelled up to 1 day before the arrival date, no penalty will be charged. If cancelled less than 1 day before the arrival date, or in the event of a no-show, a penalty equal to 100% of the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
In the high season, reservations must be cancelled at least 15 days in advance; if you cancel less than 15 days in advance, you will be charged 100% of the total booking.

Check-in is from 16:00 to 20:00
Check-out is from 10.00 until to 12.:00

Payments can be made at the guesthouse with Visa, MasterCard American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro and cash.

No pets are allowed at Casas do Moinho.
