Nuno Gonçalo Traguedo Ferreira is the CEO and co-founder of Kuanza Lodges, a hospitality group that offers immersive nature experiences across Portugal. After a successful career in Angola, where he led the media group Special Edition, Nuno relocated to Portugal with his family. Their journey led them to São Jorge Island in the Azores, where they discovered Fajã do Belo, a remote paradise accessible only on foot or by buggy.

Inspired by its untouched beauty, they acquired and restored the area, creating Kuanza Nature Experience. This venture reflects Nuno's commitment to sustainable tourism and his vision of reconnecting people with nature.

For surf enthusiasts, the consistent waves make this location a paradise for the sport. After a day of adventure, relax with the amenities offered by the property, such as the outdoor pool with sea views, the sauna, and the private beach area. Access to Fajã do Belo is made via scenic trails or local transport, ensuring a peaceful and immersive experience in nature.

Upon leaving São Jorge airport, you should catch a taxi to Fajã dos Cubres, making a compulsory stop at the nearest supermarket on the way (Compre Bem, Calheta). This is essential, as the houses are self-catering. All taxi drivers have a fixed fare with a 30 minute stop at the supermarket. It usually costs between €35.00 and €45.00, depending on whether you rent a car or a van. When you reach Fajã dos Cubres, you will be met by a member of staff who will take your luggage and shopping to the property by quad bike. The best way to reach the property is on foot. It is a magnificent 20 minute walk with breathtaking views of the area along the way (Unesco Biosphere Reserve). Well worth the effort!

Check-in between 4 pm and 8 pm and check-out between 7 pm and 12pm

Reservations and Cancellation:

Reservations are confirmed when a 50% deposit of the total amount is received. The final payment must be made 2 weeks before the check-in date.
