In 2022, Michele Marques and her business partner Mário Vieira opened Casa do Gadanha, complementing their famous restaurant Mercearia do Gadanha. As Michele said in an interview, she needed one “Gadanha” to sleep.
While staying at Casa do Gadanha explore Estremoz and its many wine producers. Go ride a bicycle through the country fields or visit the many cultural sites from Alentejo’s rich heritage.
From Lisbon airport follow E1 from Avenida de Berlim and then go along A12, A2 and A6 towards IP2 in Estremoz. Follow exit number 7 on A6. Then follow IP2 to your destination in Rua Vasco da Gama, which will be on your right.
