Cross entire Portugal in one of the longest roads in the world!
Portugal is a country known for its mild climate, friendly people and good gastronomy. By its size the distance between cities is not a problem, which makes it easy to discover it, but what almost nobody knows is that in Portugal there is the third longest road in the world and the longest in Europe.
The so-called Portuguese Route 66 (road Nacional 2) connects the country from North to South in an adventure through the most varied landscapes, from the vineyards of the Douro, the Alentejo fields to the beautiful beaches of the Algarve, through its 738km distance.
To cross this route is to know the country from top to bottom, is to travel through its 11 of its municipalities and enjoy the slow speed that this country at the seaside planted offers.
We select the most picturesque destinations and the most comfortable and authentic boutique hotels that will allow you to know the country interior with comfort, through unique hospitality and with the best local tips that we prepared for you.
Arrive at Porto airport and explore this wonderful city. Sleep at 1872 River House.

On this day we suggest you head to what we call the centre of Portugal, so we invite you to explore Viseu and Paiva Hermitage. After a long driving day, an old palace, Palácio da Lousã awaits you for a deserved rest.
Visit the charming Lousã village and its castle and continue along exploring the neighbour's schist villages of Góis and Pedrogão Grande. Head towards Sertã and overnight at an old convent at Convento da Sertã Hotel.
A selection of villages is suggested for this day with a great emphasis on Constância, a small picturesque village bathed by the Zêzere river. The beautiful mural of our lady of cork is also one of the suggestions for the day and the last destination is Monforte where the beautiful Torre de Palma is located.
Visit Estremoz, a charming village surrounded by vineyards and wineries and participate in a winemaker experience. Indulge some typical products escorted by a wine tasting at Torre de Palma.
The suggestion of the day includes Montargil dam and its relaxing atmosphere. We also suggest two other picturesque villages and many typical and delightful restaurants.
The accommodation for the night also lies nearby the water, Vale do Gaio Hotel.
After a couple of small typical Alentejo villages, you will enter the Algarve region, still with a very typical Alentejo landscape and considered by some as one of the best areas in Portugal for birdwatching. Herdade dos Castelejos will be waiting for you.
Visit the land of the shoemakers, Almodôvar and climb up to enjoy the views of Caldeirão Viewpoint (589m). On this last day in Algarve, we suggest a visit to Faro island where you will encounter outstanding beaches and feel the warm temperatures of Algarve.
Head toward Tavira and it's 37 churches, where the charming Fazenda Nova awaits you to overnight.
