"A romantic boutique hotel with a timeless and classical refinement"
Let’s travel back in time to 1338. When it all began, the story of a silent and traditional landscape from Alentejo, whose name is due to a tower: the Torre de Palma, where, as NASA endorses, life in Earth may have started. Torre de Palma is also the place that received the family Basilii , resident in the Roman ruins that surround the tower, which inspire so much of the current hotel’s philosophy.
In 2014 the traditional white and fresh walls Alentejo were merged with bold modernity, giving this infrastructure a new life with a new motivation – to receive you! More than a place to stay, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel is your home in the Alentejo. It is a luxury hotel (5 stars) dedicated to Alentejo wine and authentic experiences leading the guest to discover this genuine land’s secrets. Its identity is wine production, and with it, the wine tourism. The winery, a magical space, is the crown jewel of this kingdom.
Paulo wanted to fulfill his parents’ life dream. They were born in the genuine Alentejo and did not come back to its origin, after a life in Coimbra. So, Paulo and Isabel found in Torre de Palma the perfect location for this new project and this homage: a place of work, which produces wine, olive oil and breed horses, adding the possibility for the guest to stay in a house with many years of history. Thus, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel was created, in which was achieved a unique work of recovery of some of Maria Teresa Barradas’s pieces (Paulo’s mother).
Torre de Palma is 2 hours away from Lisbon Airport. At a 10 minute drive is Monforte and at a 30 minute drive is Castelo de Campo Maior. Portalegre is a 40 minute away drive from the property. Just 1 hour away is Évora, whose historic center was declared World Heritage by UNESCO.
