"A legendary farm in the heart of Douro region combining the most distinguished nectars with the art of hospitality"
In the heart of the Douro region, in the delightful town of Peso da Régua, you will find the charming Quinta do Vallado, one of the oldest estates in the region, famous for its distinctive production of Douro and Port Wines. It was in 2005 that Quinta do Vallado decided to open doors, the result of the refurbishing of an eighteenth century house. Later, in 2012, and in order to enlarge the hotel, Vallado inaugurated a new eight-room building, currently offering hotel accommodation combining the 18th and 21st centuries.
Its century-old vines and the quality of the nectars produced here are the landmark of this legendary Quinta. You can stroll through the vineyards and be inspired by this idyllic setting, visit the winery and cellars, become familiar with the production process, and most importantly, taste the various nectars of the farm. In addition to wine, Quinta do Vallado is also distinguished by its unique cuisine. A traditional and genuine proposal with touches of modernity. Would you like to learn the basic techniques for cooling traditional Douro food? Quinta do Vallado offers workshops teaching the secrets of the culinary art of this region. But that’s not all it has to offer! This hotel offers a sensational range of body treatments and massages, one of the highlights being the wine therapy massage.
Quinta do Vallado offers you the perfect retreat to enjoy the Douro on a typical estate with a winemaking tradition.
João Ferreira took over the running of Quinta do Vallado, an estate that has always been in his family, and decided to complement the traditional wine business with a distinguished hotel that resulted in a project he is very proud of.
